...a Genesis Croix de Fer from Evans (really s**t customer service). At my then w**ker of a company we were allowed to apply for up to a grand on the scheme. As my bike cost a bit more than that I borrowed the max and paid the difference..
Took a year to pay back in instalments from my monthly pay and then a nominal one off payment so that I became the owner of the bike, not whoever it was that I borrowed from via my company. As the payments are taken before tax is applied it worked out about 20% cheaper than if I'd bought the bike directly from the shop...
