It's not a bad film except for :
An eternally gliding Spitfire
Modern buildings and cranes along the beach
Not many soldiers on the beach
A Mark 1 B.R. Coach (1951 onwards but with 60s upholstery )
No engine in the burning Spitfire
One the spitfires has a round cowling because it is in fact a Yak dressed up .
I thought it was good overall, no CGI, cracking sound, excellent claustrophobic scenes of drowning, effective use of minimal dialogue. Pretty good but I couldn't help but be distracted by the errors .
