That doesn't make sense
Transfer fees are staggered of course, but that works both ways. It means we're still receiving money in for previous years' sales and if we were to make new signings we'd only have to pay part of the headline fee this year.
Webber seems to be suggesting it only works against us - i.e. we don't get the money in one go from sales and are still paying off old deals from purchases. Bit odd / patronising to suggest 'normal fans' find this hard to understand. It's just basic accounting.
