How much does kit sponsorship even get us?
I'd much prefer it to be used as part of a partnership deal with some local non-profit or other, with the aims of a) doing some good and b) increasing community engagement. It's (b) which will drive the long-term financial sustainability of the club. This TV money is a bubble and it simply cannot last at the current levels and when that bubble bursts, it's the fanbase which will really matter.
(Disclaimer: I'm slightly pissed so this may not make any sense, though it's highly likely no-one would notice much difference)
