Rather than a presidential system.
Logic is supposed to be that our elected representative - your local MP - does that, ie represents his or her constituents. And the PM and executive are formed from those who have the most support from those elected to represent the people.
Not sure it really works when elections end up turning into This Leader vs That Leader affairs though. As this one particularly has (as was the Tories' strategy in particular).
