Sadly he just can't sing any more

Heard him with the SAS band (Spike Edney's covers band - Spike was the "fifth member of Queen", you can see him play piano with them in Live Aid but he would often play piano or guitar live with them at the side or even off stage). He just shouts the words now, which Tim Sherwood could do just as well.

As you say it must be dreadful to have the thing which in some sense defines you taken away like that.
