Yes. I'm a current resident. Lexden, Prettygate and Stanway are best areas to live.

Also the correct side of town for getting to Maldon.

Best primary schools are Hamilton, Prettygate or Home Farm. But difficult to get in to them due to demand.

Avoid at all costs: Greenstead, Monkwick, New Town and most of Highwoods.
Also some very nice villages between Colchester and Maldon if you like the country air.
