Bennett makes a lot of sense if they are on the edge of keeping him.
Its clear the fit players who are not involved (in the last 2 games) have zero chance of being here next season.
The likes of Lafferty, Bassong and Turner.

I'm sure they are also looking at the goalkeeping situation as this is an obvious area they can trim the fat.
