Hope someone can answer this football question for me.

It involves player wages. I don't understand why clubs
don't try to loan out players who are contributing nothing
on match days. Say a player is on 15,000 a week but
never plays. Why would the club keep that non contributing
player rather than try to recoup some of the wages? For example pay 10,000 of the wages and the club loaned to pays 5,000. I understand you are only getting a one third return on investment but isn't that better than 0%? Player still gets his wages and probably actual playing time at loan club.
