Having just bought
And looked at a purplebricks property on the way, the simple difference seems to be that traditional agents still try to sell the property. There wasn't anyone really to talk to, let alone negotiate with, at purple bricks so even though we liked the house we couldn't get any questions answered. I suppose it's worth a try as a seller.
Similarly the vendors of the property we bought used an 'internet conveyancer' which meant that anything out of the very ordinary flummoxed them totally - and delayed things.
Seems that with houses the traditional routes may be pricier but are more reliable. And if that means you sell sooner with fewer complications then probably cheaper in the long run
