PM: any electric bods or, even just bloody blokes really

unlike jumbo1 i've almost finished decoraterisering the bedroom and all that's left for me to do is that my old fashioned halogen ceiling downlighters need replacing with super sexy and low energy using planet friendly LED (light every detail) lamps. now i reckon this is surely within the grasp of your average DIY f**kwit such as myself. before you wade in, i do know that you can't just pluck off the old ones and ram in some new units as some element of re-wiring/transformer replacement surely must be involved and also, with health and safety paramount, its probably a good idea to turn the lights off before starting any form of titting about with bare electric wiring. any fool knows that.

there 4, any tips or things to look out will be really helpful as will any anecdotes about when your DIY efforts ended up with a trip to casualty or A&E as the post trump lot now insist on calling it.
