Seems obvious to me but

why don't we involve some of our ex players in the recruitment process?

As I understand it Ricky Martin as our 'Technical Director' has discussions with the player (as well as the manager) and is partly responsible for selling the club. Reality is, he is a nobody who has no background as a player at this club.

We have the likes of Huckerby coaching in the academy, we have ex players like Ashton, Eadie, Roberts floating around the area. Surely there is nobody better to 'sell' the club than a hall of famer?!
