QPR Boxing Day '97ish at home, we had a player on loan

Who I'm sure was French. He played wide right and really wound up the QPR fans by diving and rolling around when he fouled. I think his loan was cancelled because of something that happened during the game. Name might have been Papa something. Anyone else remember this?
