Love to know what chairmans have done for companies you've worked for then!

Our CEO reports to the chair and the shareholders - the chair and shareholders must agree to the CEO's strategy and measure him by it....then they hold the CEO to account and drive him.

Yes chairs can hold several positions in different organisations and be paid or non-paid but the principle of the position is the same as 'chair!'.

Same in my wifes company, same at 3 previous global companies i have spent many years at.
