what would you do if they won't offer more than £7m?

Do you take it as the best you can get or refuse it, even though this would mean:
a) keeping a player who most seem to think hasn't been particularly good; and
b) not having funds to buy anyone new

This is probably pretty much the choice we'll probably be left with. I'd love to be proved wrong but I really doubt anyone will offer anything like £12m.
