In my simple football world
I try to see where the ball went from the “tackle”. The ball appeared to move forward as if Wes had touched it and in opposite direction from where Butterfield had come in from. If Butterfield had got the ball it would have gone in roughly the same direction as Wes’ shinpad.
Surely if Butterfield had got the ball the movement of it would have been different?
Or is that too obvious for a football simpleton like me?
