We have an ace Christmas tree (visible from the street, too)

Mrs Hawes basically collects vintage / special Christmas tree decorations and baubles - she watches them on ebay all year, snaps them up in charity shops etc. Some of them v old, or v foreign - beautiful old glass ones from Eastern Europe etc.

Anyway, this is the time of year when that hobby bears fruit, obviously (literally in a few cases - there a few very nice fruit-shaped ones...). Means our tree is a class above. IMHO.
