it's the tax evasion vs tax avoidance debate
one is quite clearly illegal, the other is quite clearly legal but can be of dubious ethics depending on the scale of avoidance (ie granny's ISA vs Fatcatz Plc's offshore funds in the Caymans)
I would imagine Team Sky are pushing the limits of what is legal but quite how close to the line they go, and whether that is legitimate in the context of the sport, is anyone's guess.
