no he isn't

he has some very neat touches and good technique, but he is slow and physically a bit weak. In 75% of games he plays he is pretty peripheral. 30 years ago he'd have been a very good player but the pace and strength of the modern game limits his effectiveness (which I regret but it is true). It's really telling that no-one came in for him when he was listed for ages. If he was really "class" as you suggest I can't believe that no-one in football would have been interested!!!!
