If a new manager comes in and does rubbish

What relevance does that have to now?

I would clearly want him sacked because no manager should be struggling like this with this squad

I would be hopeful the board could find someone who could come in and do better than that but of course it's never guaranteed

Any manager who is so obviously out of his depth should be replaced

Being afraid that a replacement might not do any better isn't a reason to stick with failure but perhaps that is the way the board thinks
