It is almost impossible to keep a manager in situ for a long period, also were is there

much evidence that apart form big clubs who win trophies that it works. A manager can only motivate players & keep the training fresh and ideas going for so long. Eventually routine just gets boring, if the manager moves some players will stay that's why you get the new manager bounce. I believe people like Redknapp & Warnock have done OK in spells purely because they constantly have a churn of players & that's how they keep it fresh. A manager's shelf life at a Club in my opinion is no more than 2-3 years.
