There are as many racists, bigots and xenophobes who vote Labour as there who vote Tory. It may be an uncomfortable truth for some, but it's the reality.

Brexit wasn't won/lost because only those on the 'right' of British politics voted to leave.

The union heartlands of the rust belt didn't vote in Trump because they are free market capitalists.

Le Pen isn't garnering such support because the French have suddenly decided they don't like their more socialist approach to politics.

It's not a right v left thing.

Trying to pigeon hole it that way is one of the reasons the main parties in these places are bleeding votes.
