Not sure he is that good

he looked great under Hughton, when we set up solidly and everyone knew their role defensively. Bassong, Turner and Martin also looked great under him most of the time.

Under Adams and Neil though, Tettey has been part of a team which has consistently leaked soft goals. And stopping goals is pretty much all he contributes (or should be contributing), because he's pretty terrible on the ball for a central midfield.
