Some people seem to have forgotten what an utter

shambles Alex Neil was last season.

After some unconvincing wins against mostly crap teams at home (with a couple of half-decent away wins thrown in) we're now back to playing like we did for most of last season - against far worse opposition.

I'm not anti-Neil - I quite like the bloke. But there's plenty of evidence now that he doesn't have what it takes right now.

When he came in he reinvigorated one of the best squads in the Champ - with Wes, Tettey, Bassong, Martin, Jerome etc all two years younger - and we had a great run buoyed by momentum, consistent team selection and huge quality in Champ terms (Redmond...).

Since Newcastle away last season he has floundered.

We'll see what reaction he gets out of them against Leeds, but feels like we've been here before with Grant, Worthington, Adams.

Basically, just saying it's not just two defeats - it's last season too, it's our truly shocking record this season v top half teams, weird transfers, rigid tactics, dreadful defensive shape etcetc
