I tried to appeal mine.

3 identical detached houses in a row. Mine was the middle one and in a band higher for no apparent reason. I went through the appeal process, got a letter back saying they have 3 months to get back to me about it. 2 months and 29 days later they got back to me saying that had looked into it it was right, and I can't appeal it. I phoned them up and asked to ask the reasons why, they said they couldn't tell me but that was the way it was. They basically couldn't be arsed to do the paperwork and it would have meant 4 years worth of refunds. Good luck pal.
