Thanks for giving me the heads up AC, I'd missed it yesterday. TB doesn't post often but when he does, they're always excellent reads.

What is it with the Tories and our education system? I just despair! No one should be allowed to say 'bring back grammars' without saying 'bring back secondary moderns'.

Did you see this Simon Jenkins guardian article? (The man Knowsley nothing about the Lympics, but this was interesting). He talks about how Thatcher knew that grammar schools were poison politically.
