Here you go
First, call it Saigon and not HCMC to please the locals, avoid the classic tourist hotspots like Ben Thanh Market and go out to the local markets in districts like Phu Nhuan, Cu chi? I wouldn't bother and I'd go to the floating markets on Mekong Delta instead, if rooftop bars with nice views and pretty girls is your thing then Saigon Chill should be on the list, visit the War Remnants Museum for an anti American propagandafest, this one is maybe a bit odd but if you want to buy a camera then buy it here and any photos to print out then take a USB key, you'll save hundreds, go and take a look at Hotel de Ville and The Post Office to see what's left of the colonial architecture and that's where you might be able to catch a few locals in ao dai dress to liven up your holiday photos, if you've got time go mountain biking in Cat Tien National Park however 2/3 days is more than enough before moving on up north.
