It was also a deadline date in my office yesterday.

It was an ambitious project, but one we met to discuss sometime ago. We laid out a plan of how we would approach it and scheduled several interim meetings along the way which had predefined parameters and deadlines of their own.

Sure, we had setbacks. Some of them major, but as a cohesive unit we took them head on and made contingency plans. We stuck to the original objective and if we found ourselves to deviate one of us would politely offer a tap on the should and a few words of advice.

Buying players is just a business. I don't believe it is any more or any less a challenge than other projects. AN clearly had his objectives... I can't remember a Norwich manager who was quite as vocal about exactly what he wanted in recent years. Clearly he doesn't have the team behind him to deliver on his projects and I would be very disappointed if I were him. I wouldn't be surprised if he wains a little now, before seeing greener pastures.

The lack of so much as a tweet from the club spells cowardice and disappointment for me. At least in McNally we had someone who directly communicated with the fans...
