Pretty sure he'll be getting the same amount from Sunderland for the same period.
The millions we were going to pay him were in exchange for playing for us. If he's playing for Sunderland instead of us they'll pay him instead of us. That's how transfers work. He'll be no worse off. If he doesn't agree to that he doesn't move and given I'm sure he'd rather play in the Prem I'm sure he'll agree.
