plus in some countries it is difficult to do certain sports so thats rubbished that method

right off. not too many oportunities to do sailing in landlocked central africa for example and i cant imagine that there's a plethora of world class golf courses over there either let alone wild water canoe/kayak runs. it should be medals per capita divided by world class sporting facilites times members of a royal family take away the first number you thought of.

or, you could just be happy that our little old nation is punching way above it's weight. you could do that. or not.
