While he lost goodness knows how many pints of blood, he managed to hang on to and restrain his attacker who had just roughed up his wife. I love how, the moment something goes wrong, uninformed holier-than-thou arseholes can cast aspersions on the whole police force, yet don't give a s**t about the daily acts of heroism that police officers demonstrate across the country. By all means express regret for a death of a talented former footballer, but until you know anything more than the square root of f**k all about what happened in Shropshire, I recommend you STFU.
