When I first started running

I was over 16.5 stones and literally couldn't run a mile - I was out of puff after a couple of hundred yards. I walked, then walked with a few jogs thrown in, then jogged with a few walks thrown in, then after quite a lot of weeks managed to run Five Whole Miles without stopping. Six months after that I did my first mara (very, very slow, but I did finish). It's addictive.
