it's take me years to get to where i am

i started about 5 yrs ago running 4-5 miles for a yr then 7-8 for couple of yrs, now (with a few walking rests) i've managed half marathon distance a few times. i try to do at least 10 miles.

part of it is in your head and about pushing yourself a little more each time, then the right footwear. i even have running socks so i don't get blisters.

for me the temperature makes a massive difference. ideally for me about 7-8 degrees is perfect, but when its 17-20 it's really hard work because you can't cool down.

nice to see some other runners on here, i wish you all the best in getting fit! i personally do it to improve my mood. for me it was a big accomplishment even getting out the house. the most enjoyment is when i finish :)
