As a Remain voter, I will Ctually be even more livid if we do not follow through on the referendum without putting it back to the public to vote on.
It was won/lost on the back of a significant chunk of the electorate, which ordinarily gets ignored, finally being given a voice on this subject. Not good for democracy, or the long term well being of politics in this country, if Westminster just ignores them because they haven't delivered the result that Westminster wanted.
Labour PLP is a similar story.
