Yeh sometimes. I guess it depends on the relationship though.

Seems like a key reason for having a notice period (apart from getting paid until a new position is found) is the handover overlap of getting in someone new.

If we're after a decent replacement presumably they would have to go on leave for a few months too before we can get them, or they'll continue to work at their current club/organisation.

Doesn't seem right to lose McNally whilst our target is able to continue to work out their notice somewhere else.
