I can see this being a problem.
At Year 6 the SATs give a bit of uniformity however what we do for assessment is different to the school down the road and so on. Big issue when moderating across schools, the language used could be different and interpretation.
It makes information on kids transferring in and out difficult. A lot of time has been spent developing assessment, we've redone ours about three times.
I agree with APB about issues for secondary as a result however this is not intentional on our part. Clusters aren't working anymore as loyalties lie with Multi Academy Trusts rather than feeder schools and high schools.
