Alton Towers

I am thinking of doing a couple of days at Alton Towers.

Any tips?

I can book 2 family rooms for 3 night in a travelodge 7 miles away for ?272, 2 days tickets about ?250.

Is Alton Towers worth it? Is 2 days enough? Is there a better way of doing it?
