But isn't lambert a good example of this. Given free reign to sign who he wanted largely successful for a while but benteke aside made some shocking signings at villa.

Club weren't criticised so heavily for recruitment then. The simple fact is the lower down the food chain you are and the less money you have the higher likelihood of signing a few flops.

Brady and Klose great signings. Naismith less so but may still come good
