Because he's a better finisher

but his all round game is worse. We've had games where Jerome's team work has won us points. Mbokani rarely does that, so if he doesn't score he's largely ineffective. Maybe these nuances are lost on you. It's easy to say "he scores more so should start" but the reality is that he's often been a passenger when he has and it lets the team down in other ways.
