I think it's excellent

I get 150+Mbps and in quite a lot of years using it I've had maybe three outages, all fixed within a few hours. The contrast with BT - slow, multiple outages taking ages to fix each time, incredibly incompetent customer service - is massive. Plus you usually get a great deal on phone line rental (if you pay 12 months in advance they take a wodge off). Compared to BT, Virgin wins hands down for me, for speed and quality of service.

Others have said that Sky is very good too - I've not used them so can't really comment.
