is it actually two years from Jul 14 or two years bolted on ((c) Waghorn) to the existing deal (i.e from Jul 15>Jul 17)?

IN December 2012 he signed a "3 year" contract; so was that back-dated to Jul 12 or only starting from the following Jul 13?
