Partly I think people are more aware now of how tough it is

I think a couple of years ago quite a few people thought that because we had stayed in the Prem a couple of years we were already "established" and shouldn't be facing the threat of relegation again, despite the fact that our budget was still one of the lowest.
There's also the question of spirit. Two years ago we frequently 'looked' a beaten team too easily. I don't think that is true of this team, bar the odd really poor game (Bournemouth away for instance) which pretty much every team has occasionally. We seem to be giving it everything.
