I remain a big fan of Mbokani

Much better finisher than Jerome and significantly better in the air. Doesn't run the channels like CJ, but he's not as slow as he sometimes appears. Thought we looked good with him+ Wes+ Naismith against Liverpool. Unfair to blame him for the Villa result, although he did concede the freekick and was beaten in the air by Lescott - but he's a striker not a defender. He will score goals for us if he receives the ball in/around the box, especially if decent crosses are supplied. We need to support him better to get the best out of him.
As discussed elsewhere in this thread, if we could hybridise CJ and Mbokani then we'd be OK. Shame we can't! What perhaps AN should do is start with one and then substitute for the other at 55-60 mins. Seems to leave the striker subs way too late to have any impact. Will be interested to see how Bamford does if+when he gets propr playing time.
