I agree that blaming the current crop of over-60s entirely is pointless and unfair

But it's equally absurd to absolve them of any responsibility because nothing will change unless they start to understand and sympathise with this problem. I would expect more to support fairer, more progressive, more distributional politics to address this imbalance, but they don't. On the contrary, they are more likely to support Brexit and the Tories, both of which sustain or would sustain and add to the inequality that millenials will experience. I think this is partly due to the culture of self-interest and self-promotion that baby boomers and some generation Xers grew up with, but that's by the by I guess. It is interesting to compare this with the sharing economy models that are now springing up though.

Anyway, call it 'victimism' if you want, but I firmly believe that under-35s are being left with a generational crock of s**te the scale of which hasn't been seen before in the post-industrial world, and yes, I am angry about it, and yes, I do think that over-60s should feel partly responsible.
