Oh Wrath Of All Knowledge

Tiles have started coming loose on the hips of my roof. Half of each end of the house is done properly (because we had it extended and they redid that roof as part of the extension), but half of the roof each side needs the tiles taking off, board put under and nailed to the rafters, the tiles recementing to that new board and put on and generally fixed up. It's a little bit more than just repointing.

I've been quoted ?450 to do this. Is that a reasonable price, dirt cheap, or way too much? I simply have no clue. I also don't have ?450 spare just now but there are literally holes between the tiles where water's coming through and in a high wind the tiles could easily come off so it definitely needs doing, sadly.
