Private health companies spend huge sums of money lobbying the government and donate funds to the Conservatives.

Many Conservative MPs and Lords have shares and vested interests in private health companies and health insurance companies.

The Conservatives view the NHS as an opportunity to make money for private health companies and health insurance companies.

The Conservatives also resent paying any tax towards the NHS because they pay to go private.

Private health companies want NHS medical staff to have lower wages and worse working conditions so that the private health companies don't have to pay so much to attract them and so make more profit.

It is in the interests of the media that private health companies prosper. The main media companies (except the BBC) have pension funds invested in private health companies.

PR companies plant negative stories in the media about the NHS. The media also make a lot of money from selling advertising space to private health companies.
