why would they need to sell?

I know you can't legislate for players' heads being turned by WAGES, but the new TV deal is going to level the playing field for many clubs in terms of actually needing to sell players every time a Big Club comes knocking on the door.

They have a very good chance to use this season's success (even if they drop out of the top 4, it's still a success) and consolidate.
