How would you react to this?

You didn't have to be an expert on body language to know that the lad's heart wasn't really in it that day. For a player of such ability his contribution to the Canary case was limited in the extreme, a fact summed up neatly near the end when he over-stretched and requested to be substituted.

He didn't wait until the arrival of physio Neal Reynolds before doing his 'I'm a celebrity, get me out of here' routine. Seconds after the incident he was gesturing furiously to the bench - and the fact that he eventually went on to play for another five minutes or so before being replaced appeared to suggest that he probably could have made it to the final whistle at a pinch, and perhaps even conjured up what would have been a precious winner for his side.

I dont resent Ashton and i'm not bitter.

I wish him all the luck in the world in the Premiership, I'm certain he'll play for England one day.

As i've said many times, he'll score s**te loads (and look like that complete player we saw in the Premiership last season) now that he is back there.

It just annoying, as so many people were saying at the start of the season he didnt look right and things seemed different with him.

Was this down to him having a sulk, being off form or being annoyed with other players not performing?

I guess we'll never know.

I fully believe (ok, this may be stupid) but our whole team will change when we have a pacey hungry striker up front.

Will we get that player.... that's another question, but i'm hoping we do.
