I don't know if I like your suggested formation
But equally I don't know how we utilise the players at our disposal either. As you say, doesn't seem like Neil does either.
I'd consider a diamond:
Rudd
Martin Bennett klose olsson
O'neil
Mulumbu howson
Wes
Naismith bamford
Looks a bit light in midfield though....
It's going to be hard to get wes and Naismith into the same line up.
