The unambitious bit

is the lack of transfer funds in the summer, forcing Worthy to buy cheap (which he isn't very good at).

Result - s**t season, no promotion prospects, Deano gets pissed off and we lose him

If we'd spent cash in the summer, especially on the midfield, we'd have had a chance at a much better season and thus at keeping Deano
